Idyllic Oceanfront Compound on Block Island Sells for U.S. $4,750,000

On August 1, 2016, Lila Delman Real Estate International, an Affiliate of Christie's International Real Estate, announced the record sale of 919 Coast Guard Road, Block Island for U.S. $4,750,000.

The idyllic oceanfront compound is set on 14.82 acres with vineyards and 460' of sandy beach.

This represents the highest sale on Block Island in the last three years, ending Aug. 1, 2016, according to statistics maintained by RI Statewide MLS*. Lila Delman Real Estate International was both the listing and selling company. Rosemary Tobin, Manager, represented the sellers and facilitated for the buyer.

“Selling this property was especially satisfying since it's a prime example of Block Island's unique market. As part of conserved land that is so dear to our way of life on the island, this 14-acre family compound offers the utmost privacy and access to one of the most beautiful beaches that Block Island has to offer,” said Rosemary.

“Block Island is a hidden jewel and can be compared to Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard, but offers a better value in terms of pricing,” commented Melanie Delman, President, Lila Delman Real Estate International.

Viceroy Anguilla Will Become a Four Seasons Resort in the Fall

The luxury Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, and Starwood Capital Group, a private real estate investment company, has announced that Four Seasons will take over the management of the Viceroy Anguilla, when the the resort reopens in the fall of 2016 (following its annual closure in late August through late October.)



The new Four Seasons Resort and Private Residences Anguilla will feature 166 rooms, including guestrooms, whole-ownership private beachfront residences, 5,000 square-foot villas and apartments.

Families and celebrities alike, appreciate the resort for its privacy, a range of outstanding restaurants, the 8,100 square-foot spa and numerous water sports activities.

Four Seasons has operated the Four Seasons Resort in Nevis since 1990. Four Seasons Resort and Private Residences Anguilla, will become the second Caribbean property in the company's portfolio.
